Father Jeremy Davies (born 1935), an English Roman Catholic priest and is a former physician.〔(Father Jeremy Davies profile ), catholiceducation.org; accessed 10 July 2014.〕 and a leading exorcist. He studied English Literature at St Edmund Hall, Oxford and studied Medicine at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London. He graduated with a medical degree in 1967, then worked in Mission Hospitals in Guyana, Nigeria and Ghana. He was ordained as a Roman Catholic priest in 1974. Father Davies was appointed exorcist of the Westminster Archdiocese, in Great Britain in 1987. He spent four months in apprenticeship and has been conducting exorcisms ever since. In 1993 he co-founded, along with Father Gabriele Amorth and four others, the International Association of Exorcists which now has hundreds of members worldwide.〔 His book, ''Exorcism: Understanding Exorcism in Scripture and Practice'' was published in 2008 by the Catholic Truth Society.
